An Overview

Our company has been in business twenty three years as a systems integrator and developer of custom software applications. In 1994 we began work on a software program that would allow rural clinics to communicate with specialists anywhere in the world. It was this vision that was the driving force behind the development of Second Opinion software. For the next two years we attended specialized conferences that brought us in direct contact people looking for an image transmission program. We asked questions about how clinicians practiced, how facilities functioned, and what was needed in a software program that would improve patient access to healthcare. What we found is that medical facilities needed a way to transmit images easily from one site to another using a PC and standard telephone lines.

In 1996, Second Opinion Software, LLC was formed as a separate corporation. Its function is to market and distribute the current family of products while continuing to develop software solutions for the healthcare field. This offers a unique perspective and mixture of talent to those seeking solutions to the evolving healthcare challenges of the 21st Century.
