New Image Print

This new module manages the printing of images. All or just selected
images can be printed in a variety of different layouts ranging from 1
up to 8 up, with or without annotations and with or without description
labels. A peer review option, the ability to strip all patient
identifiers, is also included.
New MultiMedia
Manager Module
The MultiMedia Manager is a new product built from scratch using
today's tools to support the new generation of WDM /DirectShow capture
devices. It has the ability to capture video stills, video and audio
clips. It includes an image viewer so images can be viewed before saving
and Regions of Interest (ROI) can also be extracted. It also has a
built in video file processor so video stills and video segments can be
created from an existing video file.
Integration with
Microsoft Powerpoint
Microsoft Powerpoint presentation can now be automatically generated
from selected images within a folder. Once the presentation is generated
it can me edited. These presentations are great for Tumor Boards, Peer
Review, and Grand Rounds.
New Word Report Template Designer
The Report Designer transforms Microsoft Word into a report writer.
Templates are created so data from within Second Opinion Professional
can be transferred to the Word templates. Once this is done, the content
can be, adjusted and new narrative added. Pictures from within the
patients folder can be added as well and printed as a final report.
There is no limit to the size of a report.
Added in Version 5.0
New
Send and Receive Communication Logs
All folders and documents emailed or sent through a NetMeeting
conference are tracked in a Send Log. All folders and documents received
through email, a NetMeeting conference or imported from Second Opinion
Data (SOD) files, are logged in a Receive Log.
New
128-Bit Encryption and Password Protection for Second Opinion Data Files
The SOD files used to transfer information through communications to
other computers now support the optional use of 128-bit encryption and
password protection. This 128-bit encryption requires the Windows or
Microsoft Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack installed. You can
specify a password to use when creating the SOD file, or have Second
Opinion ask you for one. You can also specify a password to try first when
decrypting incoming SOD files. You can set the new security options from
the Security page of the Preferences dialog box. Note that versions prior
to 5.0 cannot read SOD files that use 128-bit encryption or a password.
Also, if you use a password to encrypt your data and forget the password,
you will never be able to retrieve the information in that file.
New
Session Grouping
You can now view documents grouped by session by using the Group By
Session command in the View menu. If you open a specific session, you can
see all of its documents. Use the Back To Sessions command to return to
the Session view.
Improved
Locate Folder Window
The Locate Folder window is now resizable so that you can position it
where you want on the screen. Its controls have been redesigned to make it
more intuitive. The Advanced page in the Preferences dialog box is no
longer necessary and has been removed.
New
Custom Form Support
The new Custom Form Designer allows you to easily create, use, and
distribute forms that track any information you want.
New
Custom Report Support
The new Custom Report Writer allows you to easily create, use and
manage reports or any kind.
New
Import of Second Opinion Standard files
You can now import Second Opinion Standard's Group (SOG) files.
Demographics Information, images, video and sound clips will import
correctly. However, because of the different data structures, image
annotations and document comments are not currently imported.
Improved Imaging
Capabilities
Support has been added for saving images captured using the new JPEG
2000 file format and new DICOM compression options (Run Length Encoding,
and JPEG) and both 48-bit and 64-bit images. There is improved performance
of all imaging functions, including loading and saving JPEG files.
Added Auto-Tiling
Ability to Image Viewer
You now have the added capabilities for automatically tiling images as
they are loaded. This is very helpful when viewing a large number of
images at one time. The auto-tiling pattern can set to 1x1, 2x1,2x2, all
the way up to 5x5.
Added Auto-Save
Ability to Video Capture Program
You can now set the Video Capture program to automatically save all
captured images directly to the patient folder. Set the default values
such as the description and session code, and check the auto-save option.
